Yuri Tuma

Yuri Tuma is a photographer who practices a unique type of image making and the results tend mesmerize it's audience. Born in Brasil, and now based out of Miami, Florida, Tuma takes the most simple or complex objects in select spaces and manipulates them to create optical illusions. What I find most interesting about his final prints are his image selection process, the symmetry and balance he creates in his images and the thoughts an individual creates from his final prints. His work creates an inspiring curiosity to create artwork and images beyond our conventional processes and media. These inspiring thoughts derive from a place that fuels my create practices and my goals to create more artwork everyday.
