Yousouf Karsh was a portrait photographer who was considered to be one of the greatest photographers of all time. What I found most interesting about Karsh was the famous figures and icons he shared experiences with and how he used theatrical and dramatic lighting set ups in his portraits. I consider his work to be a combination of cinematography, narrative genre, symbolism, iconography with a one of a kind aesthetic. His body of work can be found here http://www.karsh.org/#
