Henri Cartier-Bresson
Henri Cartier-Bresson is perhaps one of the best photographers of all time. He is said to be the father of photojournalism and the inventor of the reportage style of photography. In his career he was more than a photographer and journalist, but a student, a painter, an army veteran, an actor, a film-maker and artist. His vast body of work enabled him to travel around the world and accomplish what many could not have in history.
"To me, photography is the simultaneous recognition, in a fraction of a second, of the significance of an event as well as of a precise organization of forms which give that event its proper expression."
-Henri Cartier-Bresson
