Francis Meadow Sutcliffe

Francis Meadow Surchliffe was a photographer from England and has been well known for his work documenting the seaside town of Whitiby, England. Francis created a living from portrait photography and his writings about his subjects. His literary works have been prided by the Whitby Literary and Philosophical  Society and are collected there here to this day. I'm most interested in his work because it feels like he did not leave his city to create his images, as if he photographed in the same area his whole life and enjoyed it.
